Child and Adolescent Services

Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to this Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services section.

This section has been developed with the support of the team at Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services at the Taranaki District Health Board.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services range from the specialist services provided by the Taranaki District Health Board through to a wide range of community organisations providing specific areas of care.

The TDHB Child and Adolescent Mental Health team provides a specialist service throughout Taranaki.

The team works from two base sites, New Plymouth and Hawera, and offers a number of satellite clinics in health centres and schools.   Access is open and the team accepts referrals from statutory and non-statutory health, education and welfare providers.

The Child and Adolescent team uses a multi-disciplinary approach and has close links with the Adult Mental Health Crisis Team.   Contact Reception - 06 753 7790
