Medsafe is the NZ Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority. It is a business unit of the Ministry of Health and is the authority responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand. It has the further responsibility of identifying and analysing benefits and risks of medicines, ensuring there are therapeutic benefits and manage any potential risks associated with all medications.
